So Shane pulls ahead with a one point lead. The guy who hasn’t watched WWE since Wrestlemania is the top dog and Derick and myself who tune in from time to time are tied for 2nd. Hopefully the coming months will capture may attention more. It’s gaining a little speed and I guess a little is better than nothing… :/

Shane – 18/37

Robbie – 17/37

Derick – 17/37

Here we are at WWE’s Payback. You guys know the formula. Let’s see what we think this month…

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Fatal Four Way Match: Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns vs Dean Ambrose vs Randy Orton

Robbie’s Pick: Randy Orton – Kane will be “fired” and I see Seth and Kane working an angle going forward without the title. I know there’s a lot os speculation in a Shield Reunion and that would be pretty cool too. Not real sure on this one honestly but sadly I do think a title change is needed and Randy is super hot again with the fans as their top baby face.

Shane’s Pick: Seth Rollins

Derick’s Pick: Seth Rollins – Punk wanted the Championship to not constantly be involved in a game of Hot Potato. Maybe that will be the one tip from him the WWE may actually use for booking.

WWE United States Championship “I Quit” Match: John Cena vs Rusev

Robbie’s Pick: John Cena – I’m marking out so much for this current Cena… there, I said it. This is the coolest I have seen Cena in a long long time and I’m absolutely loving this angle. The old me would make a joke about Rusev’s fate being sealed once it was announced as an I Quit Match but the new me just finds Rusev 100% un-entertaining. “LET’S GO CENA….”

Shane’s Pick: Cena

Derick’s Pick: Rusev – Still not picking Cena… not really sure what’s up with Rob being pro-Cena again…but yeah, still not picking Cena. “CENA SUCKS!”

WWE Tag Team Championship 2 out of 3 Falls Match: The New Day vs Tyson Kidd & Cesaro

Robbie’s Pick: The New Day – The fans are right. New Day Sucks for sure…. :/ I’d love for Cesaro and Kidd to reclaim the belts but Vince won’t allow it….probably because the team is half Swiss….

Shane’s Pick: The New Day

Derick’s Pick: Cesaro & Kidd – I’m never picking The New Day too, remember?

Ryback vs Bray Wyatt

Robbie’s Pick: Ryback – As much as I love Bray I really do believe it’s time to get Ryback back in the main picture. That Cena and Punk story he was involved in hurt him and he’s been slowly climbing back up the ladder.

Shane’s Pick: Bray Wyatt – This is a match?  Odd.

Derick’s Pick: Bray WyattHe lost at Wrestlemania let’s give him this one.

Dolph Ziggler vs Sheamus

Robbie’s Pick: Dolph Ziggler – I think this may be the 2nd time Dolph gets one over on Sheamus and causes him to absolutly snap and become an even more violent and vengeful heel character. #PUSHDOLPH

Shane’s Pick: Sheamus – I refuse to believe that they will ever push new, exciting talent over Sheamus.

Derick’s Pick: Sheamus – Minus the hair.

King Barrett vs Neville

Robbie’s Pick: King Barrett – Remember when Sheamus won King of The Ring and became a fool losing every week on TV because he pissed someone off in the back? Well I don’t think Barrett has done that but it seems he hasn’t had any luck against Neville on TV. I got a feeling both guys will shine on this match but Barrett will win overall.

Shane’s Pick: Barrett – Because I like Neville and can’t stand Barrett.

Derick’s Pick – King Barrett – Bull Hammer, son!

Curtis Axel and Macho Mandow vs The Ascension

Robbie’s Pick: Curtis Axel & Macho Mandow – Do I really need to explain Mega Powers 2.0? 🙂

Shane’s Pick: The Ascension – Just to be contrary.

Derick’s Pick:  Curtis Axel & Macho Mandow- Wouldn’t that be the best thing EVER…. OF ALL TIME!?

Tamina & Naomi vs The Bella Twins

Robbie’s Pick: Tamina & Naomi – We haven’t seen Tamina in a long time so lets go with her team.

Shane’s Pick: Bellas

Derick’s Pick:  Tamina & Naomi – Nobody wins. Everybody loses.

WWE Payback (2013) PPV Predictions Results

A little late posting our PPV prediction post following WWE’s Payback but looks like after this PPV things got a lot more interesting and a very close race moving into Money in The Bank.

1) Derick 31/38

2) Robbie 30/38

2) Shane 30/38

Fresh off the heels of one of the better WWE PPV’s in recent memory Joe Hennig, now known as Curtis Axel, has finally started to fulfill the shoes of his father Mr. Perfect. Being re-packaged as the proper Superstar he should have been since day one, Curtis laid claim to The Intercontinental Championship last Sunday at WWE’s newest June PPV, known as Payback. Since Joe’s debut in NXT he has always had the goods to deliver but simply failed to do so. Being a second generation Superstar it was up to him to rise to his potential. As Michael McGillicutty he wasn’t allowed to do that because honestly we didn’t accept him. We knew who he was but weren’t buying any of the McGillicutty persona. Sure he had a Tag Team Championship run with David Otanga but is that really the success you want to brag about when your the son of a WWE Legend the likes of Mr. Perfect? I think not.

Teaming him with Paul Heyman was a stroke of pure genius. As far as managers go in this day and age Paul could be referred to as a modern day Bobby Heenan, who many remember was a great manger for Mr. Perfect, so the paring of these two just fit like a glove. Heenan was the guy who helped develop and mold Superstars of the past and Heyman is doing the same with this generation. With The Intercontinental Championship around his waist, Paul Heyman in his corner and the blood of a WWE Icon coursing through his veins hopefully Curtis will be the Superstar who restores some prestige to the Intercontinental Championship. A Superstar that steps up to help add to his fathers legacy and a Superstar that can pay respect to the old school art of professional wrestling.

You have been dealt a terrific hand kid, its up to you to play it right. Don’t let us down Axel.

– Robbie C.

WWE’s newest June PPV is here. WWE’s Payback. I’m not sure why WWE changes their June PPV theme seemingly year after year but this is their new attempt and the card is actually decent. So lets see what our thoughts are for this month’s PPV.

WWE Championship 3 Stages of Hell Match: John Cena vs Ryback

Robbie’s Pick: John Cena – Still boring as usual. I mean business… No I was right the first time.

Shane’s Pick: John Cena

Derick’s Pick: John Cena – What can I say? Ryback is not John Cena’s Kryponite and that’s a shame…a damn shame.

World Heavyweight Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. Alberto Del Rio

Robbie’s Pick: Dolph Ziggler – His concussion was a setback and they kept the title on him. Hopefully they have something big planned for Dolph.

Shane’s Pick: olph Ziggler

Derick’s Pick: Dolph Ziggler – I agree with Rob. I want Dolph to do with The World Heavyweight Championship what CM Punk did with The WWE Championship. Give this man a long run and restore some credibility to this title. It is THE Championship, not a mid card title so use it right. Ric Flair held this belt for God’s sake!!!

Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk

Robbie’s Pick: Chris Jericho – This is what I have been waiting for weeks. The return of “The Second City Saint” but for Y2J to be his return opponent is awesome! As far as the Payback Theme this is the only match on the card that fits the setting. As much as I would like Punk to win I really see this being the turning point of the Heyman/Punk team. I look for Heyman to screw Punk which will lead to Punk vs Lesnar at Summerslam.

Shane’s Pick: CM Punk

Derick’s Pick: Chris Jericho  – Punk should pull a no show. It would absolutely piss everyone off and maintain his status as the ultimate bad guy in the company.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan

Robbie’s Pick: The Shield – Bryan has been on fire and I would love for Orton to go Heel in this match and turn on Daniel. A red hot Bryan vs an evil Orton throughout the Summer would be something I would really enjoy. Both guys doing what they love and playing up their natural talents would be amazing to see.

Shane’s Pick: The Shield

Derick’s Pick: The Shield – These guys are keeping WWE afloat at the moment. No need for them to lose their titles just yet.

Intercontinental Championhip Match: Wade Barrett vs. The Miz vs. Curtis Axel

Robbie’s Pick: Curtis Axel – In a perfect world Axel would be IC Champion and Punk would be recapturing his WWE Championship during this PPV. Later that night it would be revealed Punk was the leader of The Shield all along and the “Paul Heyman Guys” would be running the WWE. However that is in a perfect world and we are doing predictions for WWE…

Shane’s Pick: Curtis Axel

Derick’s Pick: Curtis Axel – Michael who!?!?! Yeah time for this guy to be who he was meant to be and hold the title that his father once did.

United States Champion Dean Ambrose vs. Kane

Robbie’s Pick: Dean Ambrose – Yeah, that title isnt going anywhere.

Shane’s Pick: Dean Ambrose

Derick’s Pick: Dean Ambrose – Again, The Shield…WWE…Afloat….

Divas Championship Match: Kaitlyn vs. AJ Lee

Robbie’s Pick: AJ Lee- Dolph and AJ. WWE’s newest power couple.

Shane’s Pick: AJ Lee

Derick’s Pick: Kaitlyn – Seriously guys… WHO THE F*** IS KAITLYN!?!? WHEN DID SHE BECOME CHAMPION!? Wow this division is easily forgettable.

Pre-Show Match: Sheamus vs Damien Sandow

Robbie’s Pick: Sheamus – This guy is still insanely over as a huge face. A win here early in the show will set the mood for the show.

Shane’s Pick: Sheamus

Derick’s Pick: Sheamus – Sheamus is on the pre-show? Guess he got the “boot” from the main card….see what I did there?
